How to format a Computer and reinstall windows 7


If you are suffering from a slow system caused by spyware, viruses or certain configuration settings, then format your computer. No problem you can do it. Here, i have mentioned Step-by-Step Procedure for Formatting your PC and Re-installing Operating System (OS) i.e. Windows 7.
Basically, formatting a computer is actually formatting a hard drive because each and every file that is seen on the computer is actually present in that drive. Formatting a computer involves erasing all of the data on that drive.
Note: Before format your computer backup your important data. 

Reasons Why You Should Format Your Computer
 There are many reasons why you might want to format a hard drive.
  1.  Your computer will not start.
  2.  infected with some kind of malware.
  3.  Windows puts up a Blue Screen of Death every time you type the word.
  4.   Your hard drive is full.
  5.  Too many errors.
  6.  Your computer is running slow.
  7.  To upgrade your system.

Before Formating :
  • Rename all the drives (makes easy to choose drive for formatting during installation process ( Rename C Drive as windows 7.
  • Must have at least urgent softwares (like MS-Office).
  • Copy important files form C Drive to D, E, F etc. (because you are going to format C drive).
  • Fully charged Laptop (in case of power failure).
  • Must have all the Device Driver 

Steps for Formatting your Computers.

 Now here some easy step how to format your computer with windows 7.

Step 1: First, insert your Bootable Windows DVD into your DVD drive or Bootable Windows USB flash drive into your USB port and restart (reboot) your computer.

Step 2 : Press F12 (for Dell), F9 (for HP, Toshiba) immediately when your computer restarts. While the PC is rebooting, you will be prompted ” Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” So, you press any key as your wish.
Step 3 : After you press a key, windows will load installation files. After that Winndows 7 setup will start.

Step 4 :Select your language, time and currency format, keyboard or input method and click Next.

Step 5 : Then click the “Install Now” button

Step 6 : Check I accept the license terms and click Next.

Step 7 : You will be prompted to choose between two options: 'Upgrade' or ' Custom (advanced)'. Click Custom (advanced) if you don’t have a previous Windows version and want to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 or Click Upgrade if you already have a previous Windows version.
It is better to choose “Custom Install” than Upgrade because you get option for formatting the specific Drive.

Step 8 : Select the Partition where you want to install Windows 7. Click “Drive Option (advanced)” and then “Format” to format the selected Drive. After that click “Next”. If you want to make any partitions, click Drive options (advanced), make the partitions.

Step 9 : After you press Next, Windows 7 Installation will begin. It takes about 20-30 min to complete installation. Wait until your PC restart. It will now automatically restart again and continue the setup.

Step 10 : Type your desired user name in the text-box.  It will automatically fill up the computer name and then click Next.  If you want to set a password, type it in the text-boxes and click Next.

Step 11 :Type your Windows 7 product key in the text-boxes and press Next.


Step 12 : Select your desired option for Windows Updates.
After that select your time zone from the drop down menu and click Next.

Step 12 :If you are connected to any network, it will ask you to set the network’s location.
And there you have a fresh copy of Windows 7 installed! Finish!!!!...
